What this site is
Queen’s Wharf Business Stays is an independent business-travel website about The Star Brisbane and The Star Grand hotel at Queen’s Wharf Brisbane. It is not The Star, Destination Brisbane Consortium, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, Far East Consortium International, or The Star Entertainment Group.
The editorial pages are written for work trips, conference stays and practical planning. They cover matters such as rooms, meetings and events, airport access, dining and the Queen’s Wharf precinct, using the facts available to the editor at the time of writing. The site does not operate a hotel, casino, restaurant, transport service or events venue.
Official hotel, precinct and venue information should be checked on the venue’s own websites before travel. The official sites are star.com.au/brisbane and queenswharfbrisbane.com.au. If there is a conflict between this site and an official source, the official source should be treated as controlling for your booking, arrival, venue access and house rules.
Dated facts, opinion and changes
The pages on this site combine factual material and editorial judgement. Factual statements are drawn from sources available to the editor, including official hotel and precinct pages, regulator material and published corporate information where relevant. Editorial judgement appears in how those facts are selected, organised and assessed for a business traveller.
Hotel operations, access routes, restaurants, event spaces, opening hours, parking, room availability, booking conditions and ownership disclosures can change. A statement that was accurate when checked may later be changed by the hotel, a booking partner, the precinct operator, a regulator or another official source.
The site aims to avoid speculation. It also aims to state closures and changes plainly, including the move from Treasury Brisbane to The Star Brisbane where relevant. For the editorial method, read about. For commercial disclosure, read how this site earns.
Rates, availability and requests
Any request sent through this website is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. Rates, room types, inclusions, taxes, surcharges, cancellation terms, payment timing and availability are not guaranteed by this site. They can only be confirmed by the hotel or booking partner handling the stay.
When you submit a request, you ask the desk to pass relevant details to the hotel or an appropriate booking partner. The eventual booking, if one is made, is between you, or your employer, and the hotel or booking partner. This website is not a party to that accommodation contract and does not control the hotel’s acceptance of a booking, allocation of a room, invoice terms or event arrangements.
You are responsible for checking the offer before accepting it. That includes dates, guest names, company details, arrival and departure times, room category, meeting requirements, special access needs and any policies supplied with the quote. Use the request a business stay page only for genuine work-travel enquiries.
Independence and commissions
This site may earn a commission when an enquiry made through the site becomes a confirmed stay. The commission, where payable, is paid by the hotel or booking partner, not by the reader. That commercial arrangement does not make this site an official hotel website, agent of The Star Brisbane, or representative of Destination Brisbane Consortium.
The site’s editorial position is independent. Payment or the possibility of payment does not require the editor to describe the hotel, precinct, casino, restaurants, transport or event spaces favourably. The site may choose what to cover, what to omit, and what to update. It may also decline or ignore requests that appear false, abusive, incomplete, unlawful, unrelated to business travel or unsuitable for forwarding.
You must not use the site to send misleading information, interfere with the request process, scrape content, copy pages for a competing site, or suggest that this website is endorsed by the hotel unless that endorsement is expressly stated by the publisher.
Casino content and legal limits
The site may refer to the casino because it is part of The Star Brisbane property and relevant to precinct access, venue rules and responsible-travel information. Casino references are factual. This site does not offer gambling, does not process casino transactions, and does not enable online casino play.
Australia bans online casino play. The casino at The Star Brisbane is a physical venue. Access is subject to the venue’s rules and Queensland regulation. For a plain description of the venue, read the casino, factually. For help and support information, read responsible gambling.
You must not treat any page on this site as legal, financial, gambling, medical or corporate travel-policy advice. For those matters, use your employer’s policy, the venue’s official terms, and qualified advisers where needed.
Liability, privacy and governing law
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher excludes liability for loss arising from use of the site, reliance on dated information, failure of a third party to respond, booking changes, venue closures, travel disruption, technology errors or decisions made by the hotel, precinct, regulator or booking partner.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law. If a non-excludable guarantee applies, the publisher’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Personal information submitted through the site is handled under the privacy notice. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the courts of Queensland for disputes connected with the site, subject to any rights that cannot be limited by these terms.
The publisher details appear in the site footer.
